If macOS says the app cannot be opened
The app is ad-hoc signed (free build, no Apple Developer notarization). This is normal for independent macOS tools. Your files stay local; nothing is uploaded.
- Open the DMG and drag Insta360 Camera Import to Applications.
- In Finder → Applications, right-click the app → Open (not double-click).
- Click Open in the dialog. You only need to do this once.
- Alternatively: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
Why is the download ~90 MB?
The app bundles a private Python runtime for the Insta360 Wi‑Fi protocol (insta360 library, protobuf, typer). No cloud SDKs. v1.3.3 removes dev tools and accidental AWS CLI packages from the bundle.
