Introduction

Insta360 Camera Import ("the app", "we") is an unofficial, independent macOS tool for importing Insta360 camera files over Wi‑Fi. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the desktop app and this website (insta360.kwverdit.com).

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Insta360 or its affiliates.

The macOS app

The app is designed to keep your camera media on your Mac. In normal use:

  • Photos and videos are downloaded directly from your camera over local Wi‑Fi to a folder on your Mac (default: ~/Movies/Insta360).
  • We do not operate a cloud service for your footage and do not upload your media to our servers.
  • The app does not require an account, login, or email address.
  • Connection details and import progress are processed locally on your device.
  • The app may store local preferences (for example, last-used paths or import state) on your Mac only.

What we do not collect from the app

The app does not intentionally collect or transmit:

  • Your Insta360 photos, videos, or thumbnails
  • Your Mac files outside the import workflow you initiate
  • Payment or billing information (the app is free)
  • Advertising identifiers

Website analytics

This marketing and download site may use privacy-oriented analytics to understand traffic and improve the site:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — aggregated page views and custom events such as download clicks
  • Microsoft Clarity — session recordings and heatmaps on the website only (not inside the macOS app)

Cookies and similar technologies

Analytics providers may set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser when you visit this website. You can limit tracking through your browser settings or installed extensions. The macOS app installer does not use website cookies.

Downloads

When you download the DMG, the file is served from Cloudflare R2. Standard server or CDN logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) may be retained by the hosting provider for security and delivery purposes.

Children

The app and website are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision.
